Text Scam Alert: Fake Traffic Citation Payment Request
Napa County Superior Court has been made aware of an ongoing scam that uses fake text messages appearing to be sent by the Court that seek payment for unpaid traffic citations.
The Court does not and will not contact the public through text messages to make payments for traffic citations.
The public is cautioned not to provide financial or personal information If contacted via text or a phone call. The Court does not seek this information through texts or phone calls.
If you are unsure about having paid a traffic citation, please visit the Court’s website at www.napa.courts.ca.gov and click on “Case Lookup/Pay Your Ticket.” From there, you will be directed to a site from which you can enter your name and driver’s license number to see if there are any outstanding traffic citations.
