Retirement coverage - Employee pension is through CalPERS. Court employees are not covered by Social Security.
Holidays - 12 days per year. Prorated for part-time employees.
Vacation - 12 days per year. Prorated for part-time employees.
Sick Leave - 12 days per year. Prorated for part-time employees.
Health Insurance - Generous percentage of employee cost is paid by the court. This payment is prorated for part-time employees.
Dental Insurance - New hires have a 6-month waiting period. Premiums are fully paid by the Court.
Life Insurance - $40,000 paid by the Court. Employee may purchase additional insurance (up to 3 times their salary or $200,000 whichever is lower) at their own expense at a very reasonable group rate.
