GRAND JURY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS & APPLICATION RECRUITMENT CLOSED
The term of office of the current civil grand jury is January 6, 2021, through June 2022. Recruitment for the 2022-2023 Napa County Civil Grand Jury will begin January 2022.
Thank you for your interest in the Napa County Civil Grand Jury. State law requires the formation of a grand jury every year. Grand jury service is an important civic responsibility for all citizens of this state. It is also a rewarding experience for those who serve.
Grand jurors must meet the following legal qualifications:
At least 18 years of age
Citizen of the United States
Resident of Napa County one year prior to commencement of term of office
Possess sufficient knowledge of the English language
Not currently serving as a trial juror
Not discharged as a grand juror within one year prior to commencement of term of office
Never convicted of a malfeasance in office or any felony or other higher crime
Not currently serving as an elected official
In possession of natural faculties, of ordinary intelligence, of sound judgment, and of fair character
Recruitment for the 2020-2021 grand jury is closed.
