Self Service jury system

IF YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED for jury service you can use this self service system and your juror badge number located on the bottom portion of your summons to:

  • Confirm if your service is required
  • Check your current juror status
  • Postpone your date of service

Jury Scam Information Warning

The Napa County Superior Court has learned of a scam in which identity thieves call potential jurors and threatened them for failing to report for jury service. The thieves then ask for confidential information. Court employees NEVER call local citizens and ask for Social Security numbers, credit card numbers or other sensitive information. Citizens should not give out such information over the phone to anyone claiming to be with the judicial system.

Although the Court does not know of any such activity in Napa County, this scam has been reported in other California counties and in other states as well. If you receive such a telephone call, please contact Court Administration at (707) 299-1110 or e-mail jury@napa.courts.ca.gov.

Security Information

Warning! All persons entering court facilities are subject to search. All weapons and contraband are prohibited. When entering any court facility you will be screened through a security device. Items that could potentially be used as a weapon are not permitted in the courthouse and will be confiscated; this may include, but is not limited to:

Knives or Scissors
Metal Fingernail Files
Tools
Wallet Chains
Handwork Needles
Screwdrivers

Compensation

You will be paid fifteen dollars ($15.00) for the second and subsequent days of actual jury service. No juror will be paid a per diem for their first day of service, including sworn jurors who sit on a one-day trial. Mileage will be paid starting the 2nd day of service and each day thereafter at the rate of $.34 a mile one way from your home to the courthouse.

Public Transportation

Napa County enjoys a reliable public transit system, that includes VineGo - a door-to-door transportation service for seniors 60 and over and persons with disabilities.
