Criminal Calendars
There are several criminal calendars heard in various departments each
week. Unless otherwise provided by law or the rules of court, all motions
must be in writing, and must be filed and served no later than ten calendar
days prior to the hearing. Responsive pleadings must be filed and served
no later than five calendar days prior to the hearing. Reply papers must
be filed and served no later than two court days prior to the hearing.
Misdemeanor Master Calendar - Hon. Monique Langhorne-Johnson, Commissioner - Courtroom D (Criminal
Courthouse, 2nd Fl.)
- General Matters - Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM
- Arraignments (not in custody) - Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM
- Arraignments (in custody) - Monday through Friday at 1:30 PM
- Motions - Tuesday and Friday at 3:00 PM
- Settlement Conferences - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 AM
- Drug Court - Thursday at 3:00 PM
- Proposition 36 Court - Monday at 10:00 AM (Tuesday at 10:00 AM if Monday is a holiday)
- Infraction Trials - Monday and Wednesday at 3:00 PM
- Small Claims Appeals - Friday at 10:00 AM
